KINGS & CORN ADVENTURE TRIP
Come experience five days of non-stop action and adventure in the heart of the Alaskan wilderness with Chugach Powder Guides. Our Kings and Corn summer action-adventure trip features King Salmon fishing, corn-snow heli-skiing, and whitewater rafting. Lodging, as well as authentic, gourmet Alaskan meals by our gourmet chef are provided by Tordrillo Mountain Lodge located in the heart of the Alaska Range. All our activities are heli-supported, enabling access to the best the Alaskan bush has to offer. Chugach Powder Guides requires guests to arrive in Anchorage the night prior to trip start date. You will be greeted at Anchorage International and chauffeured in Anchorage for any gear and last-minute needs. That evening's accommodations and activities are on your own. The next morning starts early. We will transport you to Lake Hood for the floatplane ride to Tordrillo Mountain Lodge where the adventure begins.

CORN SNOW HELI SKIING
Our guests heli-ski the Tordrillo Mountains of the Alaska Range. Astounding views of these mountains are present in all directions from the lodge. Ski days typically begin in the morning and end by mid-afternoon. When conditions are right we may launch the helicopter for the opportunity to ski in the Alaskan midnight sun, topping off the day. The snow pack is generally well consolidated snow with minimal avalanche hazard, but due to the remoteness of the skiing locations, caution is exercised at all times. Each run consists of velvety corn snow with an average vertical of approximately 3,000 feet (914 m).

KING SALMON FISHING
We fish the famous King Salmon returns of the Yentna and Skwentna Rivers. The helicopter shuttles guests into remote stretches of these rivers where we fish the banks or inflate rafts to float and fish our way to a designated pick-up area. The King Salmon returns on these rivers are consistent year after year. The average size of these fish is 30 lb (14 kg) but a 50 lb (23 kg) catch is not unusual. Although fishing skills are helpful, prior experience is not critical. Our guides are there to assist you with fishing techniques, if needed. A complete list of fishing equipment and recommended tackle is supplied to all guests.

WHITEWATER RAFTING
If you are ready for a change from skiing and fishing, we can raft the Happy River, one of the most beautiful rivers in the state. The Happy River offers clear water, alpine tundra, and wildlife viewing with approximately 20 miles (32 km) of Class III whitewater. All river gear, including dry suits, Personal Floatation Devices, and helmets are provided.

LODGING
Chugach Adventure Guides is proud to offer lodging at The Tordrillo Mountain Lodge (TML). This new log structure is on the banks of the Talachulitna River and Judd lake. Guests will enjoy all the comforts of a first class Alaska lodge, including private baths, cozy beds and Alaska cuisine prepared by a resident chef. Satellite wireless access, a full bar and table games are available for evening entertainment, and cross country skiing and snow machines provide adventure on down days. The 40-minute trip from Anchorage is onboard a float plane.
